Yeah, they should have gotten out of the vehicle and tried to explain to the children how CHUCKING GIGANTIC ROCKS AT THEIR WINDSHIELDS wasn’t very nice. I’m sure that you would have been A LOT more civilized than they were had you been forced by your government to spend time in a country where CHILDREN THROW ROCKS AT YOU UNCEASINGLY. Right.

I would indeed have done something different: I would have been a REAL man and I would have STOOD UP for what I believe in and NOT go. I would have deserted.
If you go into the army, you can expect things like this to happen. It is NONE of my fcuking concern that the US militairy consists of the dumb and mentally challanged part of the American populace.
We are STILL talking about CHILDREN here, you do NOT hurt children. There are NO excuses for hurting children. You are a WEAK person if you want to USE FORCE against CHILDREN. As fcuking simple as that.

Some of us don’t see the United States in the same light as you do. (You would probably argue that it’s ALL of us.) This country is a home for millions upon millions of people who have stakes in this land, families, whatever–things that they can’t just pick up and move around to avoid a draft. Furthermore, saying that you’d desert the military of a country you don’t even live in means absolutely nothing.
These soldiers expecting to be hated has nothing to do with actually being prepared for that kind of abuse. However, in case you hadn’t noticed, they did NOT hurt the children; they were swearing up a storm which, last time I checked, was well within their rights. NO force was used.
What exactly would you expect them to do after having been forced to serve in that country for so long? Wouldn’t your nerves be shot? Wouldn’t you not be yourself by that point?
Would they have opted to fire shots had they been allowed? Perhaps, and then maybe you’d have a case in your original post. I can’t see how anyone can imagine being in that truck and not sympathise with the people inside. Maybe if it were citizens of YOUR country in that video.
The video was not meant to win over anyone’s hearts or minds, although its main purpose is obviously to convince viewers to end the war. But you probably didn’t even see that side of it; all you saw were evil, evil Americans, pollution of the human race. At least that’s how it seems from this end.
