Ratko Mladic arrested
February 21, 2006Update: Belgrado is denying the arrest of Mladic… It now appears that the Serbian security agency knows his whereabouts and are negotiating the terms of his surrender.

Good news! Bosnian-Serb general Ratko Mladic has finally been arrested and is now on his way to The Hague to face the Jugoslavia Tribunal. He has been hunted for for a long time now, and really, it makes me feel very good he is arrested now. He is responsible for the deaths of at least 7500 Muslin men and boys during the Srebrenica tragedy (a black page in Dutch history as Dutch forces were supposed to protect the enclave, but due to miscommunications and unwillingess on the side of the allies, they failed).
This man deserves not to live. He should die a slow, and painful death. But, as he is still a human being, he cannot be killed by another human being, so a small, cold cell without any means of killing himself should be his punishment. Preferably being raped in the ass every day. But anyway.
Great news for the world, this!
