And I’m not even Christian

April 15, 2006

Just saw The Passion Of The Christ.

Easily one of the most intense pieces of art I have ever seen. I already respected Mel Gibson much after Braveheart, but The Passion stands on a whole different level. It’s not a film– it’s… More.

And I’m not even Christian.

I feel uneasy at the moment. What an instense experience.

  1. Which is why I won’t see it. I can’t watch gore or strongly psychological movies. They make me sick.

  2. The uneasyness I described wasn’t referring to a physical uneasyness; it was a mental uneasyness.

But I can understand your position.

  3. It was okay but it made an historical error; in the movie Pontius Pilate is shown as timid and uncertain and has to be goaded to to crucify Jesus. In reality, Pontius Pilate was known even among his peers has being unusually cruel; torturing people and jailing people without charges or trial. That was my only beef against the movie.
