Wii
April 27, 2006Nintendo has announced the name for their new console– Wii.
The name is heavily critizised all over the world– but I don’t agree with it. I love the ideas behind the name– it sure beats the crap out of the soulless ‘Xbox360′ and the even-less-inspiring-than-a-crack-addict ‘PS3′. Nintendo just doesn’t believe in the ‘better graphics = better games’ principle, as Sony and Microsoft seem to do. And with Wii, Nintendo seems to stick with what it’s good at: making things that look utterly Japanese and cute, but sure do kick the ass of everyone else– even if the graphics are less stunning.
I couldn’t agree more. But saying that isn’t really objective seeing that I’ve been a Nintendo fan for quite some time now…
