I'm a mere, tiny, insignificant cog in a whole clockwork of stupidity. I'm the tiny cog that wants to break free. Seriously.

This arab lady sums it up:
http://switch3.castup.net/cunet/gm.asp?ai=214&ar=1050wmv&ak=null
I particularly like this part:
"We have not seen a single jew blow himself up inside a german restaurant"
"The muslim have turned three buddha statues into ruble, we have not seen a single buddhist burn down a mosque, kill a muslim or burn down an embassy"

"Israel is willing to do what ever it takes for peace now, even if it means creating enemies in the (near) future."

Bombing civilians creates peace? I doubt it.

"Israel won’t sit if they are not officially recognized and the Palestinians/Lebanon/Syria don’t recognize Israel in the first place."

Get your facts straight: Hamas does indeed reject Israel so long as Israel continues to reject the existence of the Palestinians. If Israel acknowledges the Palestinians, they will accept Israel.

During the Lebanese Civil War, different factions were supported by Israel. This is especially true for the Kata'ib (Phalange) Maronite militia.

And now that we are on "solutions", here's another solution regarding the Cyprus problem: Both North and South Cyprus gets connected again and becomes a single country again.

It's as simple as that. But personal phobias and stupidity keeps the two peoples seperated for 35 years now.

Usually there are simple solutions even for the most supposedly complex political problems. If only people were practical, logical and would sit down to discuss their problems.

There is a solution for all this mess, it's just that no one sitting down to the table to discuss it because Israel won't sit if they are not officially recognized and the Palestinians/Lebanon/Syria don't recognize Israel in the first place. It's like the chicken and the egg problem.

The solution is this:
Israel gives back some of the land they captured in previous wars. They must give enough land to Palestinians in the south to create their own country instead of just a "strip". And Jerusalem becomes *independant*, just like the Vatican is inside Italy (Jerusalem is a Holy City for 3 religions, so the only solution is to become independant so no one fights for it). In return, the Palestinians/Lebanon/Syria/Egypt must recognize Israel and stop the terrorism against it.

That's the only solution and in my opinion is quite a simple solution where everyone wins something. But in order to agree on this solution (which I believe is the fairest of all), they all have to sit down and discuss first.

Hezbollah (party of God) likes to hide among the innocent.

So if they fire a rocket at Israel, and Israel fires back at the terrorist they also hit the innocent people standing nearby.

It's really bad for both of them.

Couldn't Israel just sent in some commandos to rescue the captured men, or sent in an undercover unit?

Israel is willing to do what ever it takes for peace now, even if it means creating enemies in the (near) future.

Do they not realize, or not care? They are probably just thinking "kill all terrorist."

There are only so many problems you can solve that way of thinking.

There are only so many problems you can solve with bombs.

They're going to have to try something else.
