You mistakenly think of burkas as if they are a free expression of fashion or religion by the wearer. They are not. They are only used in the most extremist veins of Islam society and are an integral part of a policy to oppress and humiliate women and to keep them out of the public eye.
Defending burkas in the name of freedom is as foolish as defending the yellow stars for Jews in Nazi times as if they are some kind of fashion statement. In both cases, the message is the same: "please keep away from this woman/Jew".
And if you think the wearers of burkas are free-willed because they tell you so: don't forget how extremist cults play tricks with the mind of their members.
I think your government chose very wisely to ban burkas and can be called anti-fascist rather than fascist.

I get your hyperbole.

It may be a dumb law, but it's not fascist, because by common USE, the term fascist implies not control, but the forceful silencing and/or victimization of opponents of the status quo.

I think you need to look up the word “fascist.”

This (potential) law is fascist, no matter which way you put it.

A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion.

A hyperbole is a style element.

via a constitutional monarchy

More precisely, we are a parliamentary democracy in a constitutional monarchy, meaning our monarchy is bound by the same constitution which applies to all other Dutchmen. This is different from the United States, where the head of state and its government are apparently placed above the constitution by which normal Americans are bound.

I think you need to look up the word "fascist."

"Fascist" generally refers to a government with complete and absolute power that oppresses all opposition. It doesn't mean a government that happens to impose a notably strict law via a constitutional monarchy.

Well, let's see, that law would be ruled a violation of someones freedom of religion and tossed out rather quickly. Gotta love the bill of rights.

Haha! Not even in America!

-- seriously though

If you people are trying to stop the Islamization of your country you should start becoming intolerant of intolerance with potential immigrants. Rather than being punitive with the fundamentalists you already have.

They aren't exactly a nice fit given the fact that their religion necessitates the murder of homosexuals, apostates, etc.. I'm sure most have done nothing wrong, and they don't deserve to be punished just people weren't paying attention though.
