Oh noes!!1!
September 6, 2007Just for fun, I took the American political test thing Adam and Eugenia also took, and, surprise surprise, I’m apparantly a Democrat. No shit, seeing I consider the death penalty barbaric, civilian gun possesion idiotic, gay marriage a definite must for a modern society, and so on.
Ohio Representative Dennis Kucinich (D) 92.00% match
Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards (D) - 70.67%
Former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel (D) - 70.67%
New York Senator Hillary Clinton (D) - 68.00%
Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D) - 68.00%
Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd (D) - 62.67%
Delaware Senator Joseph Biden (D) - 60.00%
New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson (D) - 52.00%
Texas Representative Ron Paul (R) - 40.00%
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) - 28.00%
Arizona Senator John McCain (R) - 25.33%
Businessman John Cox (R) - 21.33%
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) - 17.33%
Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson (R) - 13.33%
Kansas Senator Sam Brownback (R) - 12.00%
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) - 10.67%
Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo (R) - 10.67%
California Representative Duncan Hunter (R) - 6.00%
But darn, 40% match with a Texan Republican? Oh noes!!1!

Wow, a huge match to Dennis Kucinich, that’s not much to brag about. He’s most famous for bankrupting Cleveland as the mayor, and every four years saying he’s running for the presidency again. He’s mostly considered a joke by the rest of the country.

That’s okay. I take great amusement in your malformed opinions and if you are so dead set on gay marriage, I am sure there is someone out there for you ;-)

When your own culture is the lesser than that of another, it’s hard to actually notice that when you’re part of the former.

The purpose of marriage is to have children and children must have a father and a mother living together. This is ideally of course, a divorce is sometimes better than an unhealthy environment, but this is how society functioned for long time and this is how mind healthy adults are produced. Not insecure freaks. It has nothing to do with religion, but with the overall health of our society going forward. I think notion of family has been eroded too much already and we will notice its benefits only when it’s too late.
As for gay marriage, it should be called civil union or whatever and have the same legal rights as married couples, but adopting children should not be one of them in my opinion. We can’t have it all in life…
Death penalty and civilian gun possession has no benefits whatsoever.

but adopting children should not be one of them in my opinion.
According to the first article of my constitution (the Dutch one, of course), every man or woman in this country must be treated equal.
“Everyone who is in The Netherlands, will be treated equal in equal cases. Discrimination based on religion, way of life, political orientation, race, sex, or whatever other ground, is not allowed.”
So, yes, there is no legal basis in this country to deny homosexuals the right to adopt children. Consequently, this is very much possible in this country, and quite a common practice at that. And that’s for the better - as said, everyone in this country is equal.
However, that is not to say I am a proponent of homosexual couples adopting children. I, too, believe that a child is better off with a mother and a father - but, that is just my belief. I am sure that any children here, raised by homosexual couples, would wholeheartedly disagree.
It should be 100% allowed, but if it’s wise? I don’t know.

I agree with you, except…
“God created man, but Sam Colt made them equal.”
Guns are to defend you from criminals and ultimately from the government.
