I have the S270, which is the same chassis in black but with a AMD Turion 64 MT34 processor (later models are Turion 64 X2), a ATi RS482 chipset, and a RaLink RT2500 WiFi chip. Very nice setup. And Linux friendly too, except the ATi chipset that’s still a little bit unstable.
It’s robust, has a maximum operating time of 3h50m, weighs 2.1Kg with the 8-cell batttery that tilts it a bit in the back, lovely contrasted screen, and only complaints I have, all minor, are the keyboard that you have to get used to while having to press the keys right in the middle, the speakers that are more like squeakers, the bad positioning of the 2 USB ports on the right (but unavoidable), and the partially covered Kensington lock hole by the 8-cell battery.
