What happens when someone uses your public wifi to download child pornography or send out 1,000,000 spam email messages after setting their laptop up as a spam cannon?  How about when the police come to your house because of the child porn downloaded on your network or spam?

That is the reason you shouldn't leave your wifi enabled.
