Wrong
December 11, 2007You know, it’s rare, but it happens. Sometimes, I’m actually wrong. Frasier perfectly summed up how I feel when I’m wrong.
Whenever I’m wrong, the world just makes little bit less sense.
It’s like he’s in my brain.

Hmmmm. So you feel confused when you are wrong…
A cynical person might call that arrogance - “as it rarely happens, I’m confused when I’m wrong”.
But of course one shouldn’t attribute everything to arrogance if there are other options… Yes, stupidity (of the type which involves running around and screaming “I can’t hear you I can’t hear you”) is one such reason, but I don’t think that’s your problem ;-)
If you were rather sure about the issue, if it was something rather ‘big’ in the way you see the world, yes, being wrong can be confusing.
But for me, other feelings come over me rather frequently as well. Sometimes it can be very interesting to be wrong. If the feeling of stupidity doesn’t inhibit it too much, it can be a moment of learning. I sometimes get very curious if ppl disagree with me - especially when I consider them smart and knowledgable. I wonder: “Does he/she know something that I don’t?”. Any sane person should, as the amount of knowledge-yet-to-be-acquired can not be anything but huge for any human being - even for a man from earth (movie reference).
People often tend to ignore information which doesn’t fit in their particular view of the world. Knowing that, I try to avoid that, tough it’s hard ;-)
Boy, am I going philosophical. Apparently your blog does that to ppl. I’ll quit while I still can…
