Films

January 23, 2008

There are a few films I’m really waiting for this year.

The Dead Like Me film, of course. I’m anticipating this thing so very, very, very much it almost keeps me awake at night. Trailer (which I haven’t already seen five million times) is already on YouTube.

Alice. You want to see this.

Sweeney Todd. Burton. Depp. Bonham-Carter. Need I say more? Seventh of February in our cinemas, going to see it with Renate.

Cloverfield. Coming Monday my friends and I are going.

It’s all stretched and the voice over is sub-par. Must be a leaked one or something.

I still need to play the game.

    Good flick.

Cloverfield. Coming Monday my friends and I are going.

I liked it. Some punk walking out at the end said it was gay. So I said, “you’re gay.” So he said, “who said that?”

And some middle-aged, maybe younger, black couple brought a baby to the movie. It started to cry during the movie.

What kind of stupid insensitive people do that? A baby isn’t going to watch a movie like Cloverfield. If it was a kid-friendly movie I could understand bringing it, but not letting it cry.

To be fair the wife did get a bottle, but it seemed to me like she had to go to the car, or at least out of the theater to get it. I took her long enough. I told them to take it to the lobby. That what my mom did when I was young. She didn’t make us in to a distraction at restaurants.

I can’t help but think of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie intro.
