Palin
September 4, 2008Something about deceiving and appearances… Palin delivered her speech last night to the Republican National Convention - and she totally freaked me out. Especially this one bit nearly made me throw up.
Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America, and [Obama] is worried that someone won’t read them their rights.
How such barbaric, uncivilised, and un-American words can come out of such a beautiful woman is beyond me. I imagine that the founding fathers are turning over in their graves, wondering where it all went wrong. Their ideals of freedom, individuality, human rights - they’ve all gone down the drain.
This will be the final nail in the coffin. If McCain wins this election, America will alienate itself more and more not only from the rest of the world, but also from the very ideals upon which it was built. Empires come, empires go. Do you want America to just go away? Vote McCain/Palin.
Palin’s still a total MILF, though.

Well she was specifically picked as a telegenic, token female (i.e. that’s her job) … however she is also a typical Republican and turns my stomach no matter what her physical appearance.

These and the other nasty comments about Sarah Palin are going to backfire. Big time. Mark my words. She is smart, she has some excellent accomplishments under her belt, and her speech was electrifying — not in the holier-than-thou manner of Obama but in a down-home, authentic, and very inspiring way for good, ol’ fashioned Americans everywhere. And for those people who think she’s someone they’d like to F, sorry, she’s married.
Go McCain/Palin.

I hear you, Thom - the ugliest speeches can come from the mouths of
MILFsthe beautiful. Bet the Democrats wish they’d selected Hillary now…Comment by Lee — September 4, 2008 @ 8:01 pm
Jared White, she’s a creationist — by definition a retard. :)

I’m 27, never voted before. My registration was in the mail two days ago. This country simply cannot afford to put the democrats in office. They will drive taxes up, increase government and completely bankrupt this country. America can’t survive them.
Vote McCain/Palin!

“They will drive taxes up, increase government and completely bankrupt this country.”
Like in western Europe? Europe is doing much better than America economically at the moment. The USA is already in deep debts, and nearing bankruptcy according to many experts, which has nothing to do with the Democratic Party.
Besides, the Europeans (or Canadians) are happier and have more liberties, democracy, welfare, practically everything that is meaningful in life.
To me it seems too often that the USA as a society has become a seriously corrupt, only half-democratic, politically stagnate country full of social injustice and lead by (at least often behind the scenes) greedy imperialists and corporations who don’t really care a rat’s ass for higher values like liberties or democracy except in some speeches and only when it serves their own interests.
Maybe once the USA was leading the way in democracy, social development and liberties etc., a hundred, or rather hundreds of years ago. No more. Greed for money and power has replaced higher values in America.
There have been empires throughout history preferring their old ways and despising others and not wanting to learn from others even when the others clearly had many things better. Thank God, those empires lead by selfish and shortsighted emperors died away. Will the same thing happen to America too?

You haven’t been on planet earth lately, have you?
Republicans consistently spend more than Democrats (last eight years, military budget more than doubled, trillions of dollars are unaccounted for, tax cuts for the superrich, you one of them?), and Republicans consistently make the State bigger and more powerful.
I’m not saying Obama will be much better, but you have just no idea what you’re talking about. This myth that the “Left” (which the Democrats aren’t, actually) spends more than the Right is persistent, but in nearly every country this is false. Because the Right spends so much more on arms and Lemon Socialism.

Reactionaries or conservatives consistently spend more tax money than liberals or leftists.
That’s a fact. They spend trillions on weapons nobody needs. The left much less so.

Did anyone else think he was talking about Michael Palin at first?
