Funny note: the student "loan" that we receive , is not considered as income by banks. This means that banks don't calculate this when you want a maximum limit on your STUDENT bank account. Well, at least some banks. But still, the system is f-d up. And our government are liars. Wait. Politicians are always liars. I had the same problem this year. Now it seems to be the hard line American way that rules the thoughts of the ruling political elite, even if they call them social democrats or whatever. I hope people in power will see the light again. Politics is meant to help the ordinary people not make their life worse. There <i><b>is</b></i> enough money - if there is only political will. Economically many European countries have seen many worse times than this, wars, economic upheavals etc. but often they still cared for the poor and non-privileged more than nowadays. Actually, the EU countries may have never been doing better than now economically, so I cannot see why many politicians want to get rid of the welfare system?
