It's certainly better than the original and it's had some great moments, but it's also really hard to take it seriously at times. The 2nd season finale and the first half of the third season were one giant exercise in jumping the shark - seriously, what's the point of doing a "One year later..." jump when they just hit the reset button a few episodes later? I do still find it enjoyable, but for my money B5 still blows it out of the water. For once, Eugenia and I agree - the BSG remake is overrated. The handful good episodes of ST:TNG, and Lost, are my favorite scifi shows (btw, the writers said that season 5 of Lost will be much more "science fiction-y" -- their words). I love startrek :P However, I really don't like BSG. I don't get everyones obsession. It's a fricken space soap opera. Its just way too drama-y for my tastes. I want a scifi epic, not soap.
