It was better than, say, the old "Galactica 1980" series, or the the "Planet of the Apes" rip-off that we got as the 3rd season finale - but that's not saying much. It wasn't even much of a conclusion, since it raised more questions than it answered. Now that the series is over, I can say without any ambiguity or equivocation: BSG does not hold a candle to B5. The finale was completely underwhelming. It was better than, say, the old “Galactica 1980″ series, or the the “Planet of the Apes” rip-off that we got as the 3rd season finale - but that’s not saying much.
